Accessibility Plan
This plan sets how how we make all aspects of school life accessible for our pupils.
Anti-Bullying Policy
Bullying is an issue that we feel very strongly about and will not tolerate in our school, ensuring that incidents are rare.
We have developed a whole school ethos in which bullying is regarded as unacceptable.
We aim to provide a safe and secure environment where all pupils can learn and play without anxiety.
We have a consistent approach when dealing with bullying incidents and ensure that everyone connected to the school is aware of our opposition to bullying.
Behaviour Policy
We have a very positive approach to behaviour management. Our pupils are taught our 'Golden Rules' in the Early Years and Infants (KS1) and 'Core Values' in Juniors (KS2). School has a calm, purposeful learning environment and any disruptions to this are addressed immediately by all staff.
We have produced a quick reference booklet for parents about our behaviour management and expectations in each stage of school.

Charging and Remissions Policy
This policy outlines the activities for which school may request a voluntary contribution for additional activities and experiences provided.

Complaints Procedure
If you are dissatisfied in any way with any aspect of our school, please contact us immediately to discuss your concern as we always aim to work in collaboration with parents/carers. Should you feel that your concerns have not been addressed, please see this procedure about how to raise a formal complaint.

Data Protection Policy
We ensure that the personal data we hold is:
- Processed lawfully, fairly and transparently
- Collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes
- Adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the processing we’ll be doing with it
- Accurate and kept up to date; where necessary, we take reasonable steps to ensure that we erase or correct inaccurate personal data without delay
- Kept for no longer than is necessary
- Secure from unauthorised or unlawful processing and accidental loss, destruction or damage

Mobile Phone Policy
At Shooters Grove we recognise that mobile phones, including smart phones, are an important part of everyday life for our pupils, parents and staff, as well as the wider school community.
Our policy aims to:
- Promote, and set an example for safe and responsible phone use
- Set clear guidelines for the use of mobile phones for pupils, staff, parents and volunteers
- Support the school’s other policies, especially those related to child protection and behaviour
This policy also aims to address some of the challenges posed by mobile phones in school, such as:
- Risks to child protection
- Data protection issues
- Potential for lesson disruption
- Risk of theft, loss, or damage
- Appropriate use of technology in the classroom
Prevent Duty Policy
Shooters Grove Primary School is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all its pupils. Every member of staff recognises that safeguarding against radicalisation and extremism is no different to safeguarding against any other vulnerability in today’s society. The Prevent Policy sets out our beliefs, strategies and procedure to protect vulnerable individuals from being radicalised or exposed to extremist’s views, by identifying who they are and promptly providing them with support.
Pupil Punctuality and Uncollected Children Policy
This policy outlines the responsibilities of parents to ensure that children arrive punctually for school every day. Very occasionally, there may be a situation where you are unable to collect your child/ren on time, school staff are obviously sympathetic to this. The Uncollected Children Policy outlines what actions will be taken should a child not be collected on a regular basis or if no contact can be established with a parent/carer.

All staff are aware of our policies and receive regular guidance how to recognise and promptly report concerns as detailed in the 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' document.
We follow the Sheffield Guidance to Safeguard Children in our Setting.
Our Safeguarding principles are outlined in the 'Working Together' document. It gives details of what we expect of parents/carers, what they can expect of us, who to contact if you have a concern, how we work with other agencies and how we will support children and their families.
Our School works jointly with South Yorkshire Police. This project is known as Operation Encompass and aims to make schools aware when a child has been exposed to, or involved in, any domestic incident. Read Operation Encompass for more information.

Special Educational Needs and Disability Policy
Shooters Grove has an ethos of inclusive schooling for all. We will make provisions for all areas of special educational needs to the best of our ability. We endeavour to provide personalised provision for each individual. For further information, please see the SEN page on this website.
